I've actually attended TOH events; didn't realize you worked with them!
ReplyDeleteI would if there were things in it that I could eat! LOL It does look like something I would have loved to have pre-op.
ReplyDeleteYears ago, I ordered over the phone three TOH cookbooks (2000-2002) after hearing raves about it from a sister in the USA. Now being a diabetic—I can’t eat most of the stuff. If I do use a recipe from TOH—I delete sugar and salt. The pics are nice—would like to think newer editions of TOH have recipes with healthier ingredients and less fat, sugar and lower carbs!
ReplyDeleteThis book definitely h as an eye on health issues. While recipes overall don't skimp on comfort ingredients, with the nutrition facts, its easier to make healthier choices. There's a special chapter on light recipes -- over 100-- that are ALL lower in fat, sodium and calories. Those recipes had even stricter selection criteria than those that appear in Light & Tasty.
